As an avid doer of things, I fancy myself to be quite experimental with activities for an autistic gal. I was never a try 27 different after school activities, kind of person though. I am more so a get into a different hobby every week, sort of person.
As a result of my knack of finding new things to try and accomplish, I am constantly finding new things that have improved my life and I 10/10 recommend others do too.
And yes, things that work for me may or may not work for you too. However, when I have shared my results with my buddies, they usually enjoy the outcome that it brings.
So if you are interested in some (what I believe to be) life-changing activities to put on your daily routine, keep on reading.
I have a confession to make, I don't have a set in stone morning routine. However, I'm not suggesting you should have one either!
I am a firm believer in the way your day starts, sets the tone for the rest of the day. Which is why I make it a point to do a morning routine every morning.
Being the autistic bean that I am, I must have a good solid routine. Even though the majority of days I stick to doing the same routine every morning, I have a habit of deviating slightly. So do get me wrong, I'm not sticking on schedule to a tee.
Still, when you wake up and have a basic outline of things to accomplish before you get your day started, it is a good way to get you into the right mindset for what's to come.
As I said, though I deviate, my routine stays pretty much the same.
When I wake up I sluggishly drag myself to the bathroom and brush my teeth, seeing as I can't stand the taste after sleeping all night.
I then wash my face with Teami's Gentle Superfood Liquid Cleanser. It's about half full now because I love it and I use it every single day. It only has natural organic ingredients, so it won't harm you if you use it more than twice a day.
I've recently partnered with Teami and if you use code ELLEWYNTER at checkout you can get 10% your whole purchase. https://www.teamiblends.com/products/superfood-cleanser
The next thing I do in the morning is, take a shower. I find that not only does it give me a massive energy boost, but it also is more effective than taking one at night.
I then cook breakfast, which is either very light or a full-on feast depending on the day. On the occasion that I do make a big breakfast, the number one thing on the list is my homemade chocolate pancakes.
The secret ingredient I use is Teami's Organic Plant-Based Wellness Protein, Rich Chocolate for the protein I need, and the sweetness that is something I need for an extra boost.
If you would like to check it out and maybe buy it for yourself use the link and enter the promo code ELLEWYNTER at checkout so you can get 10% off and I can get a small commission, so I can keep making these blogs for you. Win-Win.
I have been journaling since I turned 13 years old, so about 3 years ago now. On the off months or weeks that I don't journal, I find that feelings I have tend to back up on me.
Having a way to safely express your feelings is all anyone can ask for. When I see videos on how to journal, those people are usually extremely talented. It could be somewhat discouraging to those of us that don't have a degree in graphic design. And don't get me wrong, those videos serve great as inspiration for me and something to strive to. However, a journal is for you, not anyone else. Here is a pretty sweet journal, that I'm ordering https://amzn.to/3fODPsy
What I'm getting at is that you don't have a picture-perfect journal for it to help you. Wondering what tools you need? Might I suggest some options below?
Right now we are all in quarantine so we can't use the excuse that we don't have any time to exercise.
When we all come out of this, we should all have the post-quarantine bodies we want. And it doesn't even take a full home gym to get in shape. On YouTube, there are plenty of home exercising videos to help us out.
And yes us, because I need to join all of you as well.
When we workout it releases endorphins, which makes us happier. And let's face it, we all have some degree of stress right now.
A YouTube channel I 10/10 recommend is Chloe Ting. She makes workout videos anyone with a floor can do at home. She also has different programs that are 100% free to use so I'd check that out if I were you, just saying.
I can go on and on about the various things that we should all do every day. However, if you are looking to start some good habits the three above is where I recommend you start.
I strive to wake up a better person than I was the day before. Do something that makes you proud of yourself. Because after all, you have to live with yourself longer than anyone else. So go on with your bad self.
And hey, before you do go on with your bad self, make sure to subscribe to my mailing list to get an update every time I post and some exclusive bonus content that I'm sure you'll enjoy.
Okay, that's all you beautiful bean!
